I dropped one in hot soup by accident and it didn’t even soften, which surprised me for a compostable spoon. They’re also noticeably stronger than the cheap plastic ones I used to buy.

Used these for a backyard barbecue and they held up through burgers and even a scoop of hot chili without getting flimsy. The fact they're made from corn and plant stuff made getting rid of them feel a lot less wasteful than regular plastic.

They do the job for cold dishes like pudding, but I wouldn't trust them with anything hot since they got a bit bendy in warm soup. The plant-based material feels more fragile than regular plastic, though they're nice and smooth to hold.
