2.3 million pounds of landfill waste
Choosing reusable gift bags can save thousands of miles of wrapping paper from ending up in landfill each year. Earth911 estimates 4.6 million pounds of wrapping paper gets produced in the U.S. annually. Each year, the US sends about 2.3 million pounds—half of all the gift wrap made in one year—to overflowing landfills. The US throws enough wrapping paper away annually to circle the world a whopping nine times.

Manufactured in Kabul
Manufactured with care, these gift bags are made from 100% cotton, ensuring durability and longevity. They are produced in Kabul, Afghanistan, providing vital employment opportunities for women who have no other source of household income. This initiative not only supports these women but also promotes a circular economy and waste reduction. As manufacturing in Afghanistan is high-risk, approximately 30% of the inventory is made in Pakistan as a risk-mitigation strategy. Regardless of the production location, the profit goes back to the women of Afghanistan.
